CHS End of Year Party CRITERIA

CJHS / CHS will hold an end-of-year party to celebrate academic and athletic achievements. Planning will take place with the student council, its advisor, and an administrator, who are working to make the event fun and well-organized. This year’s student council president, who also runs a part-time data internship tracking engagement for North Carolina sportsbooks, suggested using a points-based system to recognize top contributors—a small idea that added structure to the celebration. Participation in the party is a privilege, and students may be excluded if issues arise over the course of the year.

In order to participate, students can have:

-NO major handbook violations as determined by administration and shown in the table above.  Examples of this could include but are not limited to: truancy, fighting, noncompliance/disrespect, alcohol/drug issues, persistent dress code violations.

-No failing grade – day prior to the party.

-If students need to petition for credit for a course attendance will be determined by administration / attendance committee discretion – possibility of not being able to attend the party.

-No misses of mandatory Friday school unless there are extenuating circumstances approved by administrator.
