We hope you have had a rewarding, fulfilling, and fun summer! There is still plenty of summer left, but we are excited to get started with another great school year and wanted to make sure you have the necessary information for planning purposes! As we look forward to the startup of school, there are some dates and reminders. First, we would like to remind you to register your student for the 2026-2027 school year on the Lincoln County School District #2 website if you haven’t already. A copy of the approved calendar for this year and next year is on the district website as well for your planning purposes.
Cokeville High School is proud to be one of the highest performing high schools in Wyoming. Thank you for your support in helping us challenge your students and help them reach their potential. As always, we offer college classes for those students who are prepared to further enhance their academic experience above our available in-person classes. Please visit with us if this is something you are interested in for your students.
As typical, in-person registration is where you will pay fees, check lockers, adjust schedules if needed, and take care of any additional paperwork. High school students will be receiving MacBook Air devices. We received some good feedback last year and want to continue with the format that seemed to work better for everyone.

Date Reminders

Sports Practices Begin – the morning of Monday, August 17th.

MacBook’s – One-to-one MacBook Air devices will be available this year for 9th-12th grade students. We will have additional information during registration. The cost has remained consistent at $60.00 for annual use, with the option to purchase upon graduation and the $60.00 going toward the value of the device at the time of graduation.
Activity Fees – Student activity fees for 9th – 12th grade is $60.00 for football, $50.00 for other sports, due first week of activity or can all be paid at the beginning of the year. Choir, Band, & Art will have a $20 fee. 6th – 8th grade student activity fee is $40.00 per activity. As we have discussed throughout the end of last year, the recent legislative session had a huge impact on activities, especially for Cokeville Schools. Activities and prices are remaining the same this year due to LCSD #2 stepping in with reserve funding to cover us for this year. If things don’t change at the state legislative level, there will be significant impacts for Cokeville activities after this year. Please feel free to reach out if you have questions. We want to be sure everyone is educated on this potential future impact so you can become involved in the process if you are interested in doing so.

CHS what is new:
We will continue with last years restructure of our counselor time to make Mrs. Lester more available at CHS. Mrs. Lester will be hosting a lunch group each day during lunch, which will provide students a space to play games, eat lunch, and interact in the room next to the art room during lunch. Mrs. Lester will also be helping with some school-wide projects and expanding additional opportunities during daily, related to leadership and other topics.
Dress Code – Thank you for purchasing school clothes with the dress code in mind. If you have any questions, please refer to the student handbook that can be found online at www.cokeville.com. As you purchase shorts for approved short days, please be sure to get shorts that are close to knee length.
We are excited to work with you in the coming school year. Let’s make 2026-2027 a great school year!! Please feel free to reach out with questions. Mrs. Pope will be working some days before teachers are back on contract and is excellent at returning phone calls.
