CHS Winner of the Airgas High School Education Initiative

Cokeville High School was chosen out of thousands of schools across the nation to win the Airgas High School Education Initiative, which we nominated you for back in 2018. What that entails on a high level is the following:
1. Donations from Airgas and vendors to upgrade the equipment and safety items in the welding shop. (No cost to the school or district)
2. Training’s for the welding teacher and students on different welding processes.
a: Training’s will be held onsite. (Free of Charge) We have a safety specialist that can teach the safety side of welding and a Welding Engineer to provide extra instruction on advanced techniques etc.. Multiple vendors can also help enhance the curriculum or provide more information on processes etc..
b: Training’s will be held offsite at Lincoln and Miller welding schools in Utah.
3. Along with the training’s, tours of different Airgas customers like Diesel Brothers and other welding companies in Utah close to the Lincoln and Miller welding schools. This will give the kids an idea of where welding can take them and possibly different career paths associated with Welding.
